Recently, Joyshine completed the production of a gas-heated continuous frying machine customized for a client in Honduras. The equipment has passed pre-shipment inspection and is now officially on its way to Central America. It will be used in a local mid-sized food factory, mainly for producing tortilla chips and nachos—marking a key step in the client’s transition toward automation.
✅ A First-Time Collaboration Rooted in Simplicity and Space Efficiency
Carlos (alias), the client, runs a food processing business in Honduras focused on corn-based snacks. Previously, their frying process relied on manual batch fryers, which resulted in inconsistent quality and low production efficiency.
He first contacted our sales representative Mandy through a website inquiry. During their early discussions, Carlos clearly outlined his priorities:
Limited space in the facility — equipment had to be compact.
Operators with minimal technical experience — simple control interface required.
Gas heating preferred — better aligned with local energy infrastructure.
Thin corn-based chips — required even frying and reduced breakage.
Mandy recommended a compact, 5-meter-long gas-heated continuous frying line, designed to match the customer’s site conditions and leave room for future expansion.
⚙️ Equipment Overview: Practical Design, Easy to Operate
To meet the client’s specific needs, the tortilla chips frying system was configured with the following features:
Automatic temperature control for stable oil temperature and consistent frying.
Double-layer mesh belt to prevent floating or sticking, ensuring uniform color.
Variable speed drive to adjust frying time for chips of different thickness.
Independent oil storage tank with filtration loop, making oil changes easier and extending oil life.
Durable stainless-steel structure, easy to clean and heat-resistant.
The full system also supports customized design, including feed/discharge directions and interface height, ensuring a perfect fit with the client's existing workshop layout.
Pre-Shipment Inspection: Everything Checked, One-Time Approval
After assembly, a live video inspection was arranged before shipment. We demonstrated ignition, temperature control, and conveyor operation. Carlos carefully reviewed the key components and gave immediate approval for shipping.
Shipment in Progress: First Step Toward a Long-Term Partnership
On the day of shipping, Mandy shared loading photos and videos with Carlos. He replied simply:
“Estoy listo para empezar.” (“I’m ready to begin.”)
Though we’re oceans apart, this kind of trust is what Joyshine values the most. We see this project not just as a transaction, but the beginning of a growing partnership.
We’ll continue to support Carlos in the future as he expands into seasoning, packaging, and other post-frying processes.
